ShineWing Australia is pleased to announce the expansion of its valuation, M&A advisory and transaction services with the appointment of two new partners to its Melbourne office.
John Blight and Phillip Rundle, formerly of Grant Thornton, join the ShineWing Australia partnership today and collectively bring over 50 years’ experience in Corporate Finance services across numerous industry sectors including infrastructure, resources, agriculture, property and healthcare.
Mr Blight said he was delighted to be joining the firm and that ShineWing Australia’s position in the marketplace made it the logical choice to refine and expand a new and specialised service offering.
“ShineWing Australia is absolutely unique in the Australian professional services market given its close and genuine partnership with China’s largest domestic accounting services firm.
“We see enormous potential to use ShineWing’s unrivalled reputation, presence and network in China to connect our local knowledge and expertise in the M&A advisory and transaction services space with Chinese and Asian businesses looking to invest and expand in Australia.
“At the same time, through these networks we can introduce domestic clients to opportunities in Asia, helping them to navigate these markets and grow their businesses. We are creating something really quite new and exciting in the Australian market,” he said.
Commenting on the move, Mr Rundle said “we saw huge growth potential in this market and, together, we are confident we can deliver a unique and comprehensive service offering across the valuation, M&A advisory and transaction service space.
“Importantly though, we can further enhance this offering by linking into ShineWing Australia’s considerable expertise across a number of industry sectors, such as aged care and property development, to generate real value for both clients and the firm,” he noted.
ShineWing Australia’s Managing Partner, Marco Carlei, said he was pleased to be welcoming two new Partners to the firm and that this latest recruitment was, in many ways, the perfect demonstration of why the firm chose to partner with ShineWing International over 18 months ago.
“We recognised back then that there was enormous, untapped potential in strategically developing specialised service offerings which positioned the firm as an alternative to the ‘Big Four’ in certain key areas.
“By partnering with the largest indigenous accounting services firm in China, we have been able to expand our reach and presence overseas while also attracting new business and new opportunities into the domestic market.
John and Phil’s decision to join us is recognition that ShineWing Australia can give them the opportunity to develop and, over time, significantly grow a unique service offering which will leverage all the strengths of the ShineWing relationship,” he said.
