Speaking at the launch in Melbourne, ShineWing Australia Managing Partner, Marco Carlei, highlighted the huge opportunities this relationship presents.

He said: “We already had an enviable reputation in the Australian market as a client focused mid-tier firm.

“By securing a relationship with one of China’s biggest accounting firms, we believe we will be able to deliver significant opportunities for both our clients and our business alike.”

In Melbourne for the launch, Chairman of ShineWing International, Mr Zhang Ke, said Moore Stephens Melbourne was the perfect fit for ShineWing International to expand its operations in Australia.

“Moore Stephens Melbourne is the natural partner to take ShineWing to the next level in Australia. It has an exceptional reputation underpinned by people of the highest calibre,” Mr Zhang added.

Mr Carlei said this relationship will deliver on the key aspect of our long term growth strategy.

“In a mature professional services market such as Australia, a mid-tier firm like Moore Stephens Melbourne needs to think outside the square and beyond our shores to where there are significant growth opportunities.

“We believe becoming a member of ShineWing International will deliver on this and allows us to expand our reach and presence overseas while also attracting new business and new opportunities into the domestic market,” he added.

Mr Zhang said ShineWing International has been expanding throughout Asia over the past decade and this partnership extends the group’s presence in Australia.

“Australia has been a key part of ShineWing International’s expansion plans for a number of years and the Australian market is becoming increasingly important.

“The strengthening economic ties between Australia and Asia, particularly China, has created a growing need for firms with a presence and expertise across these markets. We believe this partnership positions ShineWing International strongly to take full advantage of this,” he said.

ShineWing Australia will remain focused on servicing its existing client base and providing them with the same, independent, premium expertise they have come to expect.

Mr Carlei said: “As well as maintaining our focus on existing clients, we will also be uniquely positioned to provide a trusted conduit between our clients and the exciting opportunities which exist in Asian markets, particularly China.

“For clients contemplating a move into these markets, we can connect them with key officials, business executives and real opportunities on the ground. For those clients already doing business in China, we can now more effectively work with them to maximise the value of their investment,” he said.

Mr Zhang said the opportunities this partnership presents Asian based companies is also very exciting.

“With Asian, and particularly Chinese, based companies showing a growing interest in many sectors of the Australian market, we are confident the formation of ShineWing Australia will also help these organisations to take advantage of business opportunities in the domestic market,” he said.

Joining ShineWing International was initially announced in December 2014. From 1 February 2015, the firm began practicing under the name ShineWing Australia and formally departed from the Moore Stephens Australia Network.
