2016/17 Federal Budget survey competition

Terms and conditions

  1. The promoter is ShineWing Australia Pty Limited ABN 78 625 921 390 (ShineWing Australia) of Level 10, 530 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000.

  2. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of the conditions of entry. Entry into the Competition shall be deemed an acknowledgement and acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  3. Entry to the Competition is free and only open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over. Employees and immediate family members of ShineWing Australia and any associated companies and agencies are ineligible to enter the Competition.

  4. The Competition commences on 27 April 2016 at 9am AEST and entries close on 3 May 2016 at 7pm AEDT (Entry Period). Any entries submitted after the Entry Period will not be considered.

  5. Entry is online and the entry form is available on the ShineWing Australia website (www.shinewing.com.au/2016-17-federal-budget). Entrants acknowledge that their entry is only received by ShineWing Australia once they have received a 'confirmation message'.

  6. Entrants must complete and submit all sections of the online entry form accurately and fully (including but not limited to providing the eligible entrant’s valid name, email address, telephone number and company) in accordance with the instructions on the online entry form (including complying with any instructions as to Entry Period).

  7. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.

  8. Limit of one (1) entry per person to the Competition.

  9. The grand prize and runner up prize winners will be determined on Monday, 9 May 2016 by our seven Industry Group leaders and ShineWing Australia Partners. This Competition will be a game of skill and chance will play no part in determining the winners. Each entry will be judged on the basis of the accuracy, originality, creativity, humour and the ability to explain one initiative the entrant would implement this Budget if they were the Treasurer.

  10. The grand prize is a $4,000.00 travel voucher (Grand Prize). The runner up prize is 1 of 4 $500.00 Myer gift vouchers (Runner Up Prize). The Grand Prize and Runner Up Prize winners will be confirmed on Monday, 9 May 2016 as decided by a panel of ShineWing Australia Partners. The Grand Prize and Runner Up Prize winners will be notified on or before 5.30pm Monday, 9 May 2016 by the Head of BD and Marketing and their name will be published on ShineWing Australia’s social media channels and a communication will be distributed to all entrants within two business days of being determined. The maximum value of the total prize pool value for all prizes under this Competition will be $6,000.

  11. The Grand Prize and Runner Up Prize will be mailed to the grand prize and runner up winners before Tuesday, 31 May 2016.  

  12. If the Grand Prize is unclaimed by Tuesday, 31 May 2016, one of the Runner Up winners as selected by the judging panel will win the Grand Prize. If one of the Runner Up Prizes is unclaimed by Tuesday, 31 May 2016, the ShineWing Australia Partners will select an entry (not including the Grand Prize winner and runner up winner) based on the entry’s accuracy, originality, humour and the ability to explain one initiative the entrant would implement this Budget if they were the Treasurer.

  13. All entries become the property of ShineWing Australia. The entries may be entered into a database for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes. Each entrant grants ShineWing Australia the right to reproduce, publish, perform, communicate, adapt or otherwise use responses used to enter the Competition at any time in the future for any purpose (including commercial purposes) free of any charge.

  14. ShineWing Australia accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted, misplaced or misdirected entries, whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deleting, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise. Errors and omissions will be accepted at ShineWing Australia’s discretion.

  15. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, ShineWing Australia will not be liable for any failure to enter a qualifying person into the Competition where such a failure arises out of any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the ShineWing Australia’s control).

  16. ShineWing Australia is not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered, including but not limited to direct or consequential loss, or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prizes.

  17. ShineWing Australia, agencies and companies associated with this Competition will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.

  18. The Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or any other social media website. Any questions, comments or complaints about this Competition must be directed to ShineWing Australia and not Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or any other social media website. 

Privacy statement

Any personal information provided by entrants is collected by ShineWing Australia to conduct the Competition (including prize distribution and promotion), and to provide entrants with information about ShineWing Australia’s products and services. It may be disclosed to those involved in conducting the Competition or those that assist in providing information about ShineWing Australia’s services, such as mailing houses or marketing companies.
